Job Description

As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will:

• Drive the design of innovative solutions focusing on security, scalability, and reliability.
• Enhance our ETL processes using advanced data stack technologies.
• Engage directly with clients to synthesize their needs into robust technical architectures.
• Deliver strategic features and support major solutions through a detailed understanding of architectural requirements.
• Create and review high-quality, resilient code, and spearhead the architecture and scalability of our distributed systems.
• Utilize leading cloud services providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure to build a formidable data platform.

Extra Responsibilities

Expand your professional scope by:

• Joining our AWS Cloud team and enhancing our cloud partnerships.
• Developing both Micro Batch and Real-Time streaming pipelines.
• Piloting POCs to validate new solutions and oversee technology migrations.
• Championing modern CI/CD best practices and driving extensive ETL processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Python and SQL expertise.
• Proficient in AWS with knowledge of services like API Gateway, Kinesis, Athena, RDS, and Aurora.
• Experienced in constructing ETL pipelines, internal APIs, and understanding of Linux systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to link technical details to business contexts.
• Experience with distributed applications and contemporary DevOps tools.
• Additional advantage: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, and event-driven pipelines.
