Job Description

The role is part of the Business Intelligence Team, who are responsible for helping the business become data-driven. The goal is to significantly improve current customer, operational, financial, and executive reporting by leveraging appropriate technologies to present information in simple, powerful ways, provide deeper insights, and enable value-creating decisions. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive candidate who is passionate about BI solutions and is comfortable engaging stakeholders and independently identifying user requirements and delivering suitable solutions.

The team is currently transitioning from on-premise to cloud-based solutions. Joining the team at the start of its transformation offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a specific functional area, whilst also influencing broader efforts to develop new capabilities across the business. We are hoping to attract an ambitious individual, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, who is adaptable, pragmatic, innovative, and an excellent problem solver.

What you will be working on:

• Contributing to the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions.
• Creating high-end reporting visualizations (such as Dashboards, interactive Graphs, Charts, Drill in reports, etc.).
• Working with both technical and non-technical internal stakeholders to define requirements, estimate effort levels, and implement reporting solutions to meet business needs.
• Providing support for self-service reports to all customer teams, product teams, and support teams.
• Identifying and resolving issues related to reporting and data input.
• Documenting all work carried out.

Qualifications

If you’re the ideal candidate for us, you should demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of SQL for designing, querying, and managing relational databases.
• Experience with Reporting/Analytics tools (such as Power BI, QlikView, etc).
• Familiarity with DAX and MDX language.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Snowflake Data Platform, Blob Storage, dbt, etc).
• Strong basic programming skills.
• A University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data warehousing including design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Exposure to tools (like SSIS etc).
• Experience in creating OLAP Cubes and multi-dimensional/tabular data models (SSAS, Azure AS, etc).
• Practical knowledge in API client development.
• Awareness of Kafka.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• Confidence in engaging with different levels of management and communicating with individuals at varying levels of technical comprehension.
• Conscientiousness, with a focus on building sustainable solutions that are well-documented and understood.
