What You'll Do

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, your mission will be to spearhead the design, implementation, and delivery of cutting-edge BI solutions addressing the intricate complexities of Amazon's marketplace. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving our ability to leverage data-driven decisions to elevate business success.

• Deeply understand Amazon's extensive data resources to optimize the application of data insights.
• Collaborate closely with business units to underscore and resolve business challenges through enhanced data analysis and reporting.
• Design and engineer critical reports and performance metrics to gauge product and business success.
• Develop and maintain self-service reporting platforms and automate large-scale data analysis processes.
• Master and apply high-quality SQL queries for comprehensive data retrieval and analysis.
• Oversee the management and evolution of local data infrastructure and synergize with global teams to maintain data accuracy and consistency.

About the LATAM Marketplace BI Team

Our team is at the heart of ensuring that key stakeholders and decision-makers have timely, accurate data to propel informed strategic actions. With a structured approach spread across various business verticals, as a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will guide your projects from conception to execution, including stakeholder management, data deep dives, and the development of SQL tables, KPIs, dashboards, and comprehensive analyses.

Preferred Work Locations

We are looking to recruit professionals to work out of one of our key locations in Mexico City, DIF, MEX.

What We Require

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in SQL with a minimum of 6 years’ experience.
• Capable of translating business needs into robust data strategies and solutions.
• Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight and advanced scripting for automation (e.g., Python).
• Demonstrated ability in building measures, metrics, and developing sophisticated reporting solutions.
• Proven track record of managing data analyses and effectively communicating findings to senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud storage and computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling principles.
• Skills in statistical analytics and proficiency in programming languages like R, Ruby, or Python are advantageous.
