The Opportunity

We are searching for an innovative Senior Cloud Database Engineer to expand our talented team in the Bay Area. Dive into the cutting-edge field of API development by shaping the future of cloud databases, focusing on high performance, scalability, and security across global deployments.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Design and Management: Develop and oversee multi-region, cloud-based database solutions ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Database Optimization: Handle the administration and performance scaling of MySQL, AWS Aurora, DocumentDB, focusing on data modeling and efficient querying.
• Security and Compliance: Secure database applications by implementing robust security protocols and ensuring compliance across multiple regions.
• Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to meet technical requirements and document all processes for future reference and scaling.

About You

Prospective candidates should have:

• Over 5 years of experience as a Cloud Database Engineer specializing in multi-region cloud deployments.
• Expertise in MySQL, AWS Aurora, and DocumentDB alongside a solid grasp of cloud-native database technologies and security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong communicative abilities for seamless interdisciplinary collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

This remote-first role offers a highly competitive salary range of $220,500 to $245,000, complemented by an equally competitive equity package, comprehensive health benefits, flexible PTO, wellness incentives, and more. Salary and benefits may vary based on location.
