Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of BMS’s Cloud/Hosting Strategy, focusing on Application Re-platforming & Refactoring.
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of production database systems.
• Optimize database performance to ensure fast query responses and maintain robust backup and recovery infrastructures.
• Collaborate effectively with the DevOps team, integrating database changes seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Automate database deployment and scaling processes using advanced containerization and orchestration tools.
• Develop and maintain IAC scripts for database provisioning and management.
• Create and refine server resource usage profiles, optimize database queries, and mentor team members on database best practices.
• Support application development teams by ensuring database design supports optimal data access and usage patterns.
• Drive improvements in DevOps practices and evaluate application effectiveness within DevOps hosted environments.
• Manage ITIL processes and maintain compliance with all security and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for professionals with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or with equivalent experience. You should have:

• Hands-on experience with major relational database systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry or an understanding of regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in database management or cloud platforms are preferred.
