What You’ll Do

Summary:

We are seeking a (Senior) Cloud Developer (f/m/d) with a passion for distributed systems, Big Data scenarios, and container technology. As part of an agile team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and integrating Big Data components in the SAP Business Technology Platform. Our strategic architectures increasingly leverage big data components like Kafka and Cassandra.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contribute to laying the foundation for our strategic goals.
• Develop and integrate Big Data components within the SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Work with various hyperscale environments including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.
• Apply proven software methodologies to cloud operation challenges.
• Follow SRE methodologies to ensure resilient and highly available big data services.

Success in this role requires a deep interest in cloud-native, distributed systems, from design through to production at scale, including continuous improvement and observability.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, Big Data, or container technologies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, GO, or Bash.
• Confidence in working within Unix/Linux shell environments.
• Experience with IaaS solutions like Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
