Senior Computer Graphics Research Engineer

This team at OPPO US Research Center (Seattle) is dedicated to the research and development of essential mobile intelligence technologies (features, products, platforms), which contribute to the current year’s or upcoming year’s flagship phones. Responsibilities The role involves researching, designing and implementing high performance graphic software systems. You will need to collaborate with both internal and external teams across different countries and time zones. You will be expected to prototype and develop consumer-focused products and prototypes in areas such as entertainment, social aspects, work, travel and general user experience. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members. Requirements Basic Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience with C++ skills - At least 3 years of experience in researching & developing real-time graphics/rendering algorithms, systems, or related products. - Strong understanding and practical experience with a modern graphics API (12, Vulkan, Metal, OpenGL ES) - Comfortable with platform-specific graphics debugging and profiling tools - Development mindset geared towards performance, proficient in code profiling, and optimization skills - Capable of quickly adapting to new technologies and tasks Preferred Qualifications - High quality publications in Computer Graphics - Experience in mobile (Android/IOS) graphics software development - Experience in native game development (e.g., Consoles/PC/Mobile) - Familiarity with mobile CPU and GPU architectures - Experience in cross-platform development - Experience with the Unity or Unreal engine and tools - Experience in shader authoring and optimization - Experience in native embedded systems development Benefits OPPO is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. The US based salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$300,000 + bonus + long-term incentive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
