Our Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Researcher to pioneer research that powers our next generation of technologies. At ATG, we anticipate future trends to propel Dolby’s growth through cutting-edge research in fields like AI, computer vision, and audiovisual processing.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Researcher at Dolby, you will:

  • Analyze and innovate in deep learning and computer vision to advance our technological capabilities.
  • Design and test new neural network architectures, developing novel approaches in computer vision.
  • Create models demonstrating new tech feasibility and present findings via white papers and meetings.
  • Ensure your solutions are integrated successfully with an eye on system-level context and market needs.
  • Maintain Dolby's standards of technical and ethical integrity.

What You’ll Need

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Master’s degree plus five years of relevant research experience.
  • Expertise in ML algorithms, computer vision, and 3D scene analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, C/C++, Python, and frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or Pytorch.
  • Strong independent work traits and excellent communication skills.

Desirable qualities include:

  • Experience in patent filing and a track record of translating research into real-world applications.
  • Published papers or patents in video processing technologies.

Salary & Benefits

The position is based in the Atlanta area, with a competitive salary range of $129,700 - $158,500 plus bonus and benefits. This may vary based on location, and equity may be provided for some roles. Specifics about salary and benefits will be discussed during the recruitment process.
