Role Overview: Senior Google Cloud Engineer

As a critical member of our dynamic team, you will:

• Design and develop high-quality data pipelines for data transformation and curation using varied tools and technologies.
• Efficiently build and manage scalable data lakes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to handle large data volumes.
• Create and maintain data warehouse solutions with BigQuery and other GCP services.
• Prepare data sets for analytics by implementing processes for data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment.
• Develop semantic layers to enhance data accessibility and exploration for business users.
• Utilize Terraform among other Infrastructure as Code tools for automating GCP infrastructure provisioning.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to integrate data pipelines effectively within analytics workflows.
• Keep abreast of the latest in GCP data & analytics, applying best practices for optimal solutions.
• Identify and implement enhancements to improve existing data infrastructure and solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer focused on data and analytics on GCP.
• Advanced knowledge in data pipeline construction, data ingestion, and data warehousing.
• Solid SQL skills and proficiency in Google Cloud Platform infrastructure services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform for efficient infrastructure management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Desire to continuously learn and keep abreast of the latest cloud technologies.
