Role Overview: Software Testing and Automation Engineer

We're on the lookout for a skilled Software Testing and Automation Engineer to enhance our dynamic GCP team. You will be instrumental in shaping automated testing frameworks for our GCP-based applications, ensuring quality and efficiency.

• Develop detailed test plans and strategies for GCP applications with an emphasis on Vertex AI and Gen AI.
• Create and manage Python or SQL automated test scripts to assess robust product functionalities.
• Write Python unit tests for bespoke GCP-deployed codes.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, enhancing continuous testing processes.
• Apply your knowledge of Kafka and Kubernetes for application testing on the GCP.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to translate application requirements into viable test cases.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with the development team for resolutions.
• Stay updated with GCP’s latest testing tools and security best practices, continually refining testing protocols.
• Document all testing procedures and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, especially Agile and DevOps.
• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, and familiarity with Vertex AI and Gen AI preferred.
• Knowledge of Kafka and Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach towards resolving defects.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for quality assurance.
