About the Role:

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in conducting field-based wetland delineations, protected species assessments, and more. Your expertise in delineating wetlands, particularly in the Midwest in accordance with state and federal regulations, will support various land development projects aimed at advancing our clients’ goals in the renewable energy, oil and gas, power, and technology sectors.

In this hybrid position, you will collaborate closely with ERM Project Managers and Partners, contributing to a range of services including environmental permitting, due diligence, and impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed wetland delineations in alignment with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements, primarily targeting Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and central Midwest states.
• Provide expert technical analyses and support for various environmental projects including environmental assessments, impact statements, and environmental site assessments under the National Environmental Policy Act and other regulatory frameworks.
• Engage in project delivery activities including field surveys, data collection, report writing, and development of strategies and recommendations tailored to client needs.
• Assist in the preparation of compliance management plans adhering to federal, state, and local requirements.
• Contribute to permitting and compliance documentation efforts, collaborating with a range of agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Who We Are Looking For:

Successful candidates will hold a Certified Wetland Delineator credential, a BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related discipline with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and 3-4+ years of relevant professional experience. An eagerness to undertake field assignments and a solid foundation in environmental science techniques are crucial. High proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are also required.
