We are in search of an experienced Senior Computer Vision/Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about revolutionizing manufacturing with advanced machine learning and computer vision technologies. You will play a crucial role in steering the development and execution of state-of-the-art algorithms for robotic systems used in industrial settings.

What You’ll Do

You will:

• Lead research and development efforts to overcome complexities in image segmentation, object detection, and pose estimation through advanced neural networks and Python.
• Develop core computer vision and machine learning models to innovatively transform the manufacturing sector.
• Design and conduct experiments to verify the performance of machine learning frameworks, focusing heavily on neural networks.
• Enhance our high-performance software platform that supports diverse robotics applications.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of robotic technology and integration.
• Work with product management and key stakeholders to shape the future direction of our robotics projects, aligning with business goals and market needs.
• Optimize robotic system functionality with improvements in speed, accuracy, and efficiency, utilizing both software and hardware innovations.
• Advance our development methodologies and tools within the robotics engineering landscape to boost efficiency and quality of outputs.
• Stay updated with the latest in machine learning and neural network applications, specifically in areas like welding technologies.

Who You Are

Ideally, you have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, specialized in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of research experience in developing groundbreaking machine learning algorithms, with over 3 years in industrial application of deep neural network models using Python.
• Proven experience in developing distributed systems using C++ or Python.
• Strong practical knowledge of transformers, including positional encoding and cross attention, and familiarity with leading LLMs like BERT, GPT, T5.
• Experience with multi-modal models integrating different data types such as text, image, etc.
• A genuine enthusiasm for autonomous robotics and a commitment to producing high-quality code.
• Eagerness to make a significant impact in a well-funded, venture-backed company.
• A strong penchant for teamwork and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
