Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Developer to enhance our dynamic data engineering team. This role demands deep knowledge in data integration, transformation, and modeling, primarily using Azure Data Factory, Data Flow, SQL Server, and ETL processes. If you are adept at designing and executing sophisticated data solutions that boost business intelligence and analytics, we would like to meet you.

Contract Duration: 6-months plus
Location: Hybrid/Seattle
Compensation: $100-$105/HR based on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Data Integration and ETL: Design and manage robust ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and Data Flow, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Data Warehousing and Modeling: Develop data models and structures on SQL Server, implementing best practices in data warehousing.
• Data Reporting: Develop SQL scripts and views to support Power BI-based reporting.
• Performance Tuning and Optimization: Enhance SQL queries, stored procedures, and data flows for maximum efficiency and monitor system performance.
• Collaboration and Support: Work alongside data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to meet data needs and offer technical support. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in data development with a strong focus on Azure Data tools and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in modeling techniques, ETL concepts, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with additional Azure and BI tools is favorable.
• Relevant certifications in Azure or other technologies are a plus.
