Your Role in the Team

Would you like to work on the Next Generation BI Platform and participate in the design, build, and implementation of scalable BI and Big Data applications? Whether you're an experienced Data Engineer or a software engineer aspiring to become one, we offer challenges involving coding databases and strategizing company data. Our BI team seeks talented and passionate Data Engineers with strong technical and business systems backgrounds.

Your Responsibilities

• Opportunity to create advanced data solutions from the ground up
• Participate in every phase of development and implementation
• Work on real-time pipelines (e.g., Kafka)
• Design, build, and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
• Design and develop interfaces between the source and BI systems
• Design and develop data mappings and ETL scripts
• Create and maintain technical documentation, contribute to user manuals
• Estimate the development effort for requirements and projects
• Work in teams using various development methodologies – agile (SCRUM), waterfall
• Ensure compliance with Vodafone policies and procedures

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• IT specific university degree OR developer qualification
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Engineering, within a technology company
• Strong data architecture, data integration, and data manipulation experience
• Experience designing and operating large Data Warehouses
• Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database modeling
• UNIX/Linux shell proficiency
• Experience with cloud projects, ideally AWS or GCP
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Track record of quickly learning new technologies
