About This Role

As a Senior Data Engineer at Valeo, you'll be instrumental in:

• Designing and executing automation tooling and pipelines across various environments, including public/private clouds and VMs.
• Developing secure, scalable ETL pipelines and serverless workflows using AWS technologies like Lambda and Step Functions.
• Creating and maintaining CloudFormation templates for AWS environment deployments.
• Enhancing data management and analytics capabilities with AWS services such as Athena, Glue, and RedShift Spectrum.
• Building advanced BI reports and dashboards to visualize data science model outputs.
• Developing both front and back-end solutions, including chatbots and user-centric websites to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Contributing to the infrastructure expansion on AWS, including setup and POCs for new AWS services.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 1-3 years of experience in cloud automation, preferably with a strong background in Amazon AWS technologies.
• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and services including EC2, S3, IAM, ELBs, and more.
• Familiarity with ML concepts and advanced programming knowledge in Python for scripting and automation.
• Previous experience with DevSecOps, GitOps, ConfigOps, Infrastructure as Code, and other modern engineering practices.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Information Systems; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Amazon Certificates or experience with Amazon DataHub, Personalise, and Forecast are highly advantageous.
