About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, based in our vibrant Piraeus office, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our operational frameworks and enhancing decision-making processes through effective data management. This full-time, permanent position may require travel to our international subsidiaries, particularly in Egypt, enabling you to impact our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, integrating with systems like the Entersoft ERP.
• Collaborate with various business stakeholders to identify and solve data-related issues, optimizing data flow and usage.
• Design and execute data storage solutions to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Enhance data security and integrity across all platforms and systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve our data systems and practices.

What You Need to Have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in data engineering. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages like Python or Java is essential. Experience with distributed computing frameworks, cloud architecture, and data visualization tools will strengthen your candidacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degrees or certifications in computer science, cloud computing, or system architecture.
• Experience with machine learning, data streaming technologies, and tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI tools and previous experience in waste management or related sectors.
