Senior Data Engineer
Position Overview: EDH is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in building data pipelines, batch processing frameworks, and data modeling techniques for efficient data ingestion and export. You will collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that meet user requirements, utilizing industry-recognized cloud platforms, databases, data integration/orchestration tools, and big data technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines to meet organizational data needs.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and quality features to support Application Engineering, Analytics, and various business verticals.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Business Analysts to build data models that enhance data reliability and interpretability.
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient data export solutions for seamless data transfers to external systems and platforms.
- Contribute to the creation of design documents, technology assessments, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Support production jobs and promptly address any issues.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests for new features.
- Contribute to the Technology Roadmap, PR reviews, and establish standards/best practices.
- Foster a positive attitude and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, specializing in enterprise data solutions.
- 3+ years of cloud experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (preferred) or other relational databases.
- Strong experience with Microsoft ETL stack, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
- Proficient in programming with Python or similar languages.
- Expertise with SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
