Comprised of data engineers, data architects, insight analysts, data scientists, visualization experts, and others, the Data and Analytics business offers vast learning and growth opportunities to every team member.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a passion for data and databases, who enjoys problem solving on a daily basis and is skilled in working with Big Data technologies within a collaborative setting. The Senior Data Engineer should be capable of working independently as well as providing guidance and support to the team.

What would your Roles and Responsibilities be?

As a Senior Data Engineer, you would be:

• Reporting to a Data Engineering Manager
• Using Big Data technologies to resolve our customers' most challenging data-centric problems
• Collaborating closely with Solution Designers and Business Analysts to perform Data Ingestion, Enrichment, and Egression
• Working with the Group Data Warehouse, Big Data Platform, Ab Initio, and Data Stage
• Designing and building group data products by integrating diverse data from hundreds of internal and external sources
• Adopting tools, programming languages, and templates to enhance our data quality and efficiency
• Constructing and optimizing Big Data pipelines, architecture, and data sets
• Taking end-to-end ownership and responsibility for business requirements, design and code reviews, identifying technical/performance issues, and resolving them
• Learning and adapting new technologies to solve problems and improve existing solutions
• Maintaining and cultivating excellent relationships with CDAO colleagues and stakeholders, whilst actively contributing to business outcomes and team culture
• Mentoring and supporting junior Data Engineers within the team
