Essential Functions
This role is for a Senior Data Engineer – Cloud, with an extensive development background, whose main responsibility will be to expand our AI as a Service platform to the Public Cloud while enhancing, optimizing our existing codebase and development procedures, as well as developing new solutions. We are looking for a talented professional with profound knowledge in public cloud and AI/ML production systems.
The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and deliver solutions within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They should have a passion for optimizing existing solutions and making incremental improvements. Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential. Also, they should have knowledge of Agile methodologies, common scrum practices, and tools.

This is a hybrid role. Hybrid employees can alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (managed by leadership/site), generally in the office 50% or more of the time based on business requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Substantial Python experience with development experience in one or more of the following: Go, Rust, Java.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, preferably in an AI/ML production environment.
• Hands-on experience with model inference engines such as TensorFlow Serving, Triton, or other AI accelerators.
• Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and HashiCorp Nomad is considered a significant advantage.
• Practical experience with Redis and Kafka.
• Experience with Ray (on-prem, K8, AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity with building large scale distributed, high performance systems in payments or other domains.
Work Hours: Varies based on the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires 5-10% travel time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by phone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated range for a new hire for this role is 109,400.00 to 139,500.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Furthermore, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
