Join Our Hometrack Team as a Senior Data Engineer - Contractor
Houseful, a leader in property technology and the home of trusted brands such as Zoopla, Alto, Hometrack, Calcasa, Mojo, and Prime location, is offering an exciting opportunity for two Senior Data Engineers on a six-month contract basis, outside IR35. This role will contribute to making informed property decisions by harnessing the power of data, software, and insights.

As a Senior Data Engineer at Houseful, you will play a pivotal role in constructing our next-generation data platform and pipelines. Your initial task will involve collaborating with the team responsible for rebuilding and enhancing the company’s core valuation models.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing the core data platform on Databricks, including writing Terraform and deploying infrastructure.
- Replatforming key datasets from SQL Server to Databricks using DLT for robust data pipeline creation.
- Supporting Data Scientists by ensuring data accessibility and aiding in model deployment to production environments.
Desired Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python and Spark
- Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing, and data pipeline architecture
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake data platform solutions
- Nice to have: Docker (ECS/Kubernetes) & orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions, Airflow, Dagster)
