Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Work Location: This position is eligible for remote work, with occasional on-site expectations. Job Description

We are seeking passionate individuals eager to learn, adapt, and drive innovation in data transformation and Business Intelligence. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will inspire others with new data engineering and streaming technologies. Join us to become a technical leader and pioneer novel approaches in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipeline architecture to optimize data collection and flow.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
  • Analyze user requirements, and design and develop graphs, charts, dashboards, and other Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Design BI applications aimed at optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Consult and support customers regarding BI app design and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain logical data models, including star schema, snowflake schema, and other foundational data warehouse principles.
  • Ensure data governance policies through Data Lineage, Quality checks, and classification.

Required Skills:

  • Five plus years of SQL knowledge and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong experience with UNIX, Linux, Shell scripting, Python, JavaScript, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of GCP technologies, including Cloud Functions, Big Query, and Pub/Sub.
  • Significant experience with BI platforms like MicroStrategy and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with BI Admin capabilities, including managing user access and configuring BI tools.
  • Versatile, detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data transformation using tools such as Lambda, SQL, DBT, and Python.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
