As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer (GCP) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of being based in Chennai or working remotely.

Position Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our big data infrastructure that supports analytical and operational capabilities. You will be tasked with developing scalable data pipelines and integrating new APIs to manage increasing data volumes and complexity. Your expertise will also support data scientists and business teams in enhancing data models that fuel our business intelligence tools, thereby promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data engineering initiatives that align with business goals.
• Design and implement scalable, secure data solutions, adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Advance the adoption of cloud-native technologies to enhance the performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability of systems.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data engineers.
• Engage with ML/AI and engineering teams to define data requirements and solve complex challenges.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in ETL, ELT, Python, Pandas, Numpy, and SciPy.
• At least 5 years of dedicated experience in GCP, BigQuery, PySpark, and Pub/Sub.
• Proven expertise in Google Cloud services like Dataflow, Dataproc, and Dataprep.
• Strong background in database design, administration, and NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB.
• Solid knowledge in data security, governance, and compliance measures specific to GCP.
• Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker for creating impactful business dashboards.
