Position Title: Senior Data Engineer

Position Duties:

Join Astreya Partners, LLC as a Senior Data Engineer and work on advanced data analytics projects for a world-renowned Internet company. As a leader in this role, you will:

  • Create, expand, and optimize customer data and data pipeline architecture.
  • Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
  • Define data structures, design data marts, and build and optimize data pipelines.
  • Construct optimal infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance client data systems.
  • Implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and infrastructure redesign for scalability.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using SQL, Python scripts, dashboards, and Google spreadsheets.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve, automate, and align data with current client processes.
  • Support the Product, Data, and Design teams with data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs.
  • Lead and mentor team members.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and recommend best practices and KPIs.

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related field.

Special Requirements:

  • Experience with building ETL processes from big data sets across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in SAS, Python, Java, R, and MatLab.
  • Querying and maintaining SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing models including Hadoop, MapReduce, and HIVE.
  • Expertise in determining methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Analyzing data to drive key insights and recommendations.
  • Working with large data sets across multiple systems.
  • Data visualization and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office/G-suite skills.
  • Basic Machine Learning knowledge.

Skills may be gained through academic coursework and concurrently while pursuing academic studies.

Rate of Pay:

$89,000 to $139,000 per year

Location:

20500 Belshaw Ave., DPT#EXCA2214 Carson, CA 90746 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the USA

Salary Range:

$111,720.00 - $176,400.00 USD (Base salary only)
