As an integral part of the Data Platform team, your role is crucial in advancing our mission to simplify big data complexities, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure data access. Working with the region’s premier talent, you’ll leverage cutting-edge technologies and tackle everyday regional challenges using our advanced in-house data platform in real-time.

Role Overview: What You'll Do

• Bring creativity to tackling data engineering challenges, developing modern data platforms with efficient, reusable components.
• Design, architect, and implement solution prototypes showcasing data value, and present your findings to a broad audience.
• Optimize code efficiency, resource allocation, and compute workloads to elevate platform performance.
• Enhance engineering protocols, tests, and systems to scale both the codebase and team productivity.
• Collaborate seamlessly with global teams in a dynamic environment.
• Create sustainable and scalable data pipelines.

Who You Are: What You'll Need

• A minimum of 6 years in software development, with a portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Expertise in Scala, Java, or comparable programming languages.
• Experience in developing distributed systems or similar projects.
• Familiarity with cloud-native Big Data technologies and software engineering best practices.

Nice-to-haves include experience with cloud control planes (AWS, GCP, etc.), database internals, open-source contributions, and Docker and Kubernetes technologies.
