Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing our sophisticated big data solutions. Your skills in data processing, SQL databases, and coding will drive the success of our projects and facilitate actionable business insights.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of industry experience in big data systems and data processing technologies.
• Minimum of 3 years of coding experience in Spark data frames, Spark SQL, and PySpark.
• Strong programming skills, with a preference for Python & SQL; capable of writing modular, maintainable code.
• Proven expertise in SQL, dimensional modeling, and using analytical big data warehouses, including Hive and Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL workflow management tools, preferably Airflow.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in version control and CICD tools, such as Git and Jenkins.
• Experience with notebook solutions like Jupyter, EMR Notebooks, and Apache Zeppelin.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills coupled with excellent written and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to make sound, complex decisions in a fast-paced, technical environment.
