The Role – Senior Data Engineer:

Deel's Data Platform team is looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to enhance our data infrastructure, ensuring its scalability across a growing team of 30+ Analytics Engineers and 100+ data professionals. In this role, you will be pivotal in building data pipelines, enhancing data quality, and developing a robust data governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage efficient, scalable data pipelines using tools like Snowflake, Airflow, dbt Core, and Fivetran. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions. Implement ELT processes to transform data from diverse sources into actionable insights. Maintain data integrity and security through robust governance and compliance practices. Optimize data workflows to support data analysis and decision-making processes. Continuously learn and integrate emerging technologies to advance our data engineering practices.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by at least 5 years of experience in data engineering. You should have expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data warehousing, along with familiarity with Apache Airflow, dbt, and Fivetran. A proactive collaborator, you excel in fast-paced environments and are adept at conveying complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
