About the Role: Senior Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Motive, you will be an integral part of our core data team, developing world-class data models and pipelines that are crucial to our products. You will handle a vast array of data streams from IOT data (ingesting hundreds of thousands of data points per minute) to user data. Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Strategic Analytics teams. We foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, emphasizing effective teamwork across a highly diversified team.

You will join a pioneering team focused on building our new data infrastructure to meet Enterprise client needs. This new platform integrates cutting-edge technology and your contributions will directly impact the products utilized by hundreds of thousands of users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct data pipelines to integrate product data for Enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with data and product teams to architect and design data models.
• Communicate effectively across multiple teams and projects.
• Deploy Data Ops in Motive, crafting robust data models using the latest market tools.
• Utilize tools like Airflow, AWS, data observability tools, and table creation frameworks similar to dbt.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics).
• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on building modeled tables.
• Strong applied knowledge of SQL, Python, and modern data engineering stack (e.g., dbt, Airflow, AWS).
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
