About the Role

The Senior Data Engineer will be instrumental in leading the design and hands-on development of data architecture. This role involves migrating data from legacy CRM and BSS systems to a cutting-edge microservices-based environment using PL/SQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Spearhead the data architecture design, ensuring scalability, robustness, and business alignment.
• Data Analysis and Mapping: Analyze Oracle databases and develop data mapping strategies that meet business needs.
• ETL Development: Create and implement ETL processes and pipelines using Oracle tools and PL/SQL.
• Scripting: Craft and optimize PL/SQL scripts for complex data transformations and loading processes.
• Data Cleansing and Quality: Design and apply data cleansing routines to enhance data quality prior to migration.
• Testing and Validation: Execute comprehensive testing to ensure data integrity and completeness during migration.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth data migration.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Oversee the migration process and address any issues promptly.
• Documentation and Training: Document all relevant procedures and train team members.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years in data engineering, focusing on data migration, ETL development, and architecture design.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Oracle databases, PL/SQL, data migration projects, ETL processes, and optional experience with microservices and cloud-based data platforms.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in quickly identifying and solving data migration issues.
