Role Overview: Senior Data Engineer

The selected Senior Data Engineer will be tasked with designing and implementing solutions for Master Data Management (MDM) to improve data consistency across Gartner. Responsibilities include maintaining our high standards of data quality, utilizing a variety of state-of-the-art technologies in cloud-based environments for data engineering, operations, and mastering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements to design and implement effective MDM solutions.
• Develop and maintain Data Pipelines using SQL, AWS technologies like Glue, and Python.
• Configure and build web services, pub-sub queues, and components for Event Driven Architecture.
• Adhere to best practices and industry standards in Data Engineering and Mastering processes.
• Manage day-to-day data operations, including troubleshooting data pipelines and maintaining job schedules.

Required Skills:

• 4-5 years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably with AWS ETL.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or Java and strong SQL skills for complex data analysis and problem-solving.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and technologies.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, AGILE-SCRUM environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and cloud databases.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue and understanding of Data Engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with Stone branch scheduling engine, Ataccama, and concepts of Data Governance, Architecture, and Operations.
