Job Description

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building scalable and streamlined data models using PL/SQL queries on Snowflake
  • Improving the performance, efficiency, and accuracy of usage data and quality solutions and assets
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements while driving process and reporting enhancements, developing new tools, and collaborating with other Analytics teams to scale the process with ServiceNow's growth
  • Adhering to all documented architecture, design, and deployment standards and processes to ensure policy compliance
  • Partnering with the Global team to help implement solutions for end-user adoption
  • Developing functional expertise within various areas of enterprise business processes
  • Taking responsibility for troubleshooting data issues and conducting root cause analysis when reporting data is in question
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest technological advances in Snowflake and BI tools

Qualifications

This role's success requires:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field
  • 7+ years of experience in database architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, consulting, business intelligence, or a related field, with experience in PL/SQL, Snowflake, and an additional object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake development activities such as reporting, creating views, SQL queries, stored procedures/table functions
  • Experience with SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Data Replication, Data-sharing & Data-ingestion into Snowflake
  • Experience in Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Security, and Performance Optimization
  • Experience in working with a diverse, cross-functional team across various geographical locations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a dispersed team
  • A proven and current technical understanding in analytics technologies and the ability to learn new technology
  • A Snowflake core advance certification is advantageous
  • Experience with developing dashboards in Tableau/Power BI is a plus
  • GenAI knowledge is highly beneficial
