We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC).
As a Senior Data Engineer in MSTIC, your expertise in cybersecurity, data processing, and modeling will be pivotal. You will collaborate closely with threat analysts and other data engineers to aggregate, normalize, and model large datasets, turning them into actionable intelligence to combat some of the world's most critical cyber threats.
- Design and optimize data processing jobs to convert complex raw data into simpler, more useful formats for threat analysis.
- Develop and enhance data models to aid in threat intelligence analysis and reporting.
- Employ advanced data analysis and visualization tools such as KQL, Python, and Power BI to derive insights from data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance data quality and efficiency, sharing best practices within the cybersecurity domain.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with at least 4 years of experience in technical engineering. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in the Cyber Threat Intelligence sphere, either as an analyst or a system builder, with a strong capability in data model development.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in technical engineering with advanced coding skills.
- Expertise in data processing, modeling, visualization, and graph-based intelligence systems like Synapse by The Vertex Project.
- Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms and services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse.
The position offers a competitive salary range from USD $117,200 to $229,200 annually, varying by location. In select locations like the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City, the range is USD $153,600 to $250,200 annually. Visit our careers page for detailed benefits and pay information.
