Join Our Team as a Senior Data Engineer at Future PLC

At Future PLC, we're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative and vibrant Go.Compare Data team. This role entails playing a pivotal part in the migration of legacy data warehouses to GCP, crafting new batch and streaming-based pipelines using the robust GCP stack. Your expertise will be instrumental in integrating data sources efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to the highest standards of data engineering practices.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll take on the responsibility of developing data engineering pipelines independently, ensuring reliable and cost-effective processing of data. Your role involves:

• Building and maintaining robust data pipelines within the GCP environment.
• Supporting legacy SQL server-based data warehouses and ensuring their smooth operation daily.
• Collaborating with other engineers to ensure consistent delivery of pipelines.
• Mentoring junior team members and helping them overcome data implementation challenges.

Experience That Will Put You Ahead of the Curve

Ideal candidates will have:

• A strong background in building and operating big data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience in maintaining SQL Server-based data warehouses, including expertise with SSIS packages, stored procedures, and more.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both business and technical audiences.

Salary and Location

The position offers a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £60,000, reflecting the candidate's experience and skills. This is a remote role, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere.
