About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at Calderys. With a strong background in IT and a deep understanding of data architecture, you will be instrumental in shaping our data systems and infrastructure. This permanent position is based in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, US, and sits within our Business Intelligence department, reporting directly to the Business Intelligence Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data service architectures, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Drive the incubation of new data services and maintain high standards of data security.
  • Develop integration and data pipelines across various systems like ERPs, CRMs, and MES.
  • Offer architectural support and align data technologies with the overall IT architecture and business goals.
  • Stay updated with emerging IT data technologies and advocate for best practices and standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of functional IT experience and a proven track record in business project implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with data lake/warehouse implementations and various data technologies (such as Oracle, Snowflake, Azure).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in API management, EAI, predictive analytics, and master data management.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a globally diverse company is highly valued.
