Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with top-notch professionals in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Product Management to develop new products from end-to-end, bringing them to market.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Onboarding, extracting, loading, and transforming newly acquired data sources
• Performing preliminary analyses on various data types
• Collaborating with engineers and data scientists to develop new innovative products

Required Skills and Experience

We expect candidates to have:

• 3-5 years of hands-on programming experience in Python, Spark, SQL, and Unix shell scripting
• Proven knowledge of financial markets data analysis (example: stock market prices and volumes)
• Cloud and systems experience in AWS S3/EC2, Databricks, and Linux
• A solid understanding of Git or other version control software
• Experience with exploratory data analysis, data onboarding, and data pipeline development
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
• An ambitious and enthusiastic attitude towards working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

It would be phenomenal if you have previous experience in crafting financial data products.
