What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Staff Data Engineer with experience in leading data teams. The role will be hands-on, with approximately half your time spent supporting, guiding, and growing the data function within BridgeU.

  • At least 8 years of Data Engineering and a minimum of 1 year leading a data function
  • Strong skills in Python programming and data manipulation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large data sets
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of Python API building and data warehousing technologies (e.g. Kimball)
  • Experience with pipelines, GCP/AWS, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, good communication skills, and ed-tech experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in statistics, maths, or computer science

What will you be doing?

As the Staff Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data strategies that support the company's mission to revolutionise the education industry through technology.

You will also lead a multi-disciplinary team of various data roles (scientist, analyst, engineer, etc.) and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven insights and solutions that drive growth and improve the overall user experience.
