About Your New Role
As a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst, you will be integral to our team, focusing on designing and implementing systems that support the investment process for a prestigious US-based venture capital firm. Your tasks will involve integrating data from diverse systems and sources to encourage insightful data analysis, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making processes. You will also develop integrated data flows, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and implementing system architectures and data flows.
- Integrating third-party systems (through APIs) and external data sources into the data warehouse.
- Implementing integrations between systems to match and enrich data (e.g., CRM, Wiki, and Slack).
- Designing and constructing AWS infrastructure with optimal DevOps practices.
- Developing a data technology stack that includes data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
- Constructing data flows for fetching, aggregation, and data modeling using batch pipelines.
- Designing datasets and schemas for consistency and easy accessibility.
- Expanding and building on recommendation systems.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a data-focused role, software engineering, or DevOps.
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Fluency in English (minimum C1 level).
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and Linux scripting.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Sigma, or other BI tools.
- Familiarity with Snowflake or other data warehouse technologies.
- Proven ability in building ETL processes and data pipelines using platforms like Airflow or AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Batch, Data Pipelines).
- Knowledge of AWS stack, Docker, and deployment automation.
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
