About the Role: Senior Data Governance Officer

Team Overview

As a Senior Data Governance Officer, you will join our Financial Data Integrity department, a crucial part of the Finance Direction. The department focuses on the labelling of financial data for Natixis CIB activities, overseeing both balance sheet and off-balance sheet. You will be part of a team of six in Porto.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Governance Officer, your key tasks will include:

1. Data Systems and Analytics

  • Develop solutions for data extraction, exploration, and transformation using SQL and other technologies.
  • Act as a liaison between business lines and IT to translate business requirements into data sources and queries.
  • Design and implement data architectures and dashboards to enhance business intelligence.
  • Manage and improve data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Maintain scheduled reporting, including Power BI dashboards.

2. Requirements and Coordination

  • Oversee the lifecycle of business requirements from elicitation to solution translation.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and prototyping for requirement collection and clarification.
  • Coordinate with Finance IT to manage remediation plans and business requirements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of financial issue remediation.

3. Data Governance and Strategy (Technical View & Impact)

  • Participate in coordinating the Data Domain Office (DDO) network for finance.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the Data Management roadmap.

4. Monitoring and Collaboration

  • Monitor the implementation of business requirements and data strategies.
  • Support the management of data visualization and BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with various teams to promote data-driven decision-making.

Additional Information

You will be part of a bi-localized team with regular interactions with our Paris team. The ability to build a network within the Natixis ecosystem and a collaborative work approach are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Math, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
  • Expertise in Data Management and Governance, BCBS 239, and a banking environment.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau, and data manipulation using DAX, M, Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Ability to synthesize complex datasets into clear visualizations and dashboards.
  • Experience in big data environments and technical tools for data analysis.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (optional).
