Job Title: Senior Data Governance Relationship Manager
As a Senior Data Governance Relationship Manager at CIBC, you will be an integral member of the Enterprise Chief Data Office, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Data Governance. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs) to support and enable sustainable data governance and management practices. Aligning with our Data Strategy and Target Operating Model (TOM), you will help define, develop, and maintain business processes to ensure successful data governance and quality.
Build and sustain strong relationships with SBU and FG partners across the enterprise. Act as the main contact for business units, addressing their needs, concerns, and supporting the development and delivery of their data governance programs. Enable partners to adopt enterprise tools for metadata management, data quality, issue management, and data sharing, advising them on their data governance processes and operations.
Develop, deliver, and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes. Maintain and report on data governance and management roadmaps. Address and resolve stakeholder issues while supporting central data governance projects and program initiatives.
Align internal frameworks and processes with industry best practices.
Facilitate the growth of internal tools by identifying and prioritizing solution requirements and development needs.
Experience: 4-6 years in Data Management and Data Governance. Expert knowledge in data governance frameworks, best practices, and implementation challenges. Experience with Azure, MS Purview, Databricks, Collibra, and Informatica is a plus.
Certification: DAMA certification is preferred.
