Job Description

As a Senior Data Modeler at Dynatrace, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our renowned platform. You’ll tackle various data challenges, converting complex data into actionable solutions that simplify business decision-making. Your contributions will enhance self-service capabilities for our customers and accelerate their access to reliable insights. In your daily role, you will collaborate closely with analysts and managers to refine our data processing and modeling endeavors. Your expertise will enhance the design and structure of data feeding into our self-service platforms, ensuring high-quality outputs that drive business progress.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and model both data and metadata to support custom and predefined reporting needs.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders like BI experts, analytics teams, and product managers to enhance and optimize data sources.
  • Apply advanced data modeling techniques to transform complex data into valuable insights.
  • Drive the development of new capabilities within our data warehouses, ensuring our environment can handle complex data scenarios.
  • Uphold the highest security standards by managing data access and ensuring data quality.
  • Refine and scale existing tools to manage vast amounts of raw data, turning them into actionable business metrics efficiently.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering or SQL/Data Warehousing (DWH) development.
  • Proficient in advanced SQL, with a strong focus on optimizing data structures and enhancing data retrieval speeds.
  • Experienced in data warehousing and business intelligence within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong English communication abilities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of cloud databases, especially Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in Kimball Dimensional Modeling Techniques.
  • Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Expertise in data analysis and familiarity with modern data pipeline best practices.
  • Experience with standard ETL tools and DBT.
  • Programming skills in Java or other modern languages are advantageous.

Due to legal requirements, we disclose a minimum salary of €56,000 gross per year for this full-time position, with potential to negotiate based on experience and qualifications.
