Job Description
The Experian's Analytics Data team is seeking a Senior Data Modeling Analyst to join the Fraud and Identity Solutions (FIS) Analytics team. This person will lead and conduct analytical projects and machine learning model development for Experian clients, especially involving fraud risk score analysis for account acquisition, applicant decisioning, and account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & execute analytical projects from the design of the solution and data integrity evaluation to the documentation and implementation of the solution.
- Create & implement machine learning models, business decision strategies, and conduct statistical analysis on new and existing models.
- Communicate, explain, and deliver presentations on analytic and statistical results to clients & end users.
- Work with internal and external clients to determine the appropriate requirements, analysis parameters, and performance measures.
- Interpret the results of analyses, identify trends and issues, and suggest alternatives to support business objectives.
- Produce implementation plans and participate in audits to support the implementation of statistical models and other decision tools.
- Provide analytical expertise to the field sales force and marketing organization.
- Support the development of new analytical and data products and services, and enhance current processes and offerings.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in statistical modeling/data analysis, including data manipulation experience, preferably using Python.
- An advanced degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Proficiency to build robust predictive models and in-depth understanding of statistical requirements and limitations of training and testing data.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis in Linux or cloud computing (e.g. AWS) environments and manipulate various modeling tools with Python notebook, shell scripting, Linux command line, or SAS.
- Expert analytical skills for evaluating and understanding data from an internal and client perspective.
- Strong fluency in at least one programming language: SAS, Shell scripting, Python, C++, SQL, or other languages and using Linux and Microsoft office products.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical audience.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytic, organization, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
