Senior Data Operations Analyst

Are you seeking a highly impactful role within a rapidly expanding team? Expedia Group’s Data Sharing Operations team is in search of a dynamic, motivated individual to support a range of platform data initiatives. We need someone who can champion excellent operational methodologies, liaising across a diverse, globally distributed team to ensure that Expedia Group complies with global data sharing regulations.

As a Senior Data Operations Analyst, you will maintain close alignment with key departments to ensure that our responses to changing global data sharing requirements are well planned and effectively implemented. You will cooperate with our Supplier Data Engineer on reporting requirements, and closely collaborate with multiple teams to identify and resolve any compliance-related issues that emerge. We are seeking someone with a passion for problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail. You will work with regional leaders, Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Tax, Legal, and Government Affairs to collaborate on action, fulfill compliance requirements, and monitor overall progress.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead by example, showcasing Expedia Group's commitment to community partnerships
  • Work in a cross-functional team to understand global data sharing requirements for completing reporting tasks, analyses, and investigations
  • Continually enhance the compliance processes and methods, adhering to a control framework to identify and address compliance gaps
  • Extract, load, and transform data from various sources for global compliance reporting
  • Review data sharing reports prepared by data analysts throughout the reporting process
  • Deliver data sharing files to government authorities through different transmission methods
  • Inspect data quality issues for consistency and accuracy, identifying resolutions
  • Collaborate with Product and Data Engineers to provide input on scalable processes and tools
  • Create quality control feedback loops between organizations and leadership within Expedia Group
  • Communicate directly, sharing feedback at all levels, and engaging in debate while maintaining objectivity
  • Partner with, influence, and motivate resources outside your team

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with exposure to operations and/or e-commerce
  • Experience with compliance reporting (i.e., tax or financial reporting), two-sided marketplaces a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to do so in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks/projects, set goals, and meet deadlines
  • Experience with creative and structured problem-solving, with the ability to navigate unfamiliar or time-sensitive issues
  • Understanding of common reporting and file transfer technologies
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel (e.g., vlookups, sumifs, pivots)
  • Experience with Power BI, a plus
  • Experience with the use of various data analytic tools
