Job Description
To support its growth, Sia Partners is recruiting senior consultants for our data science team who will be in charge, working in synergy with our various disciplines, of tasks and missions necessitating the use of complex models to assist our clients in their issues related to:
- Machine learning and statistics: development of explanatory and predictive decision support models (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosing, etc.)
- Operational research: design and implementation of constrained optimization solutions and simulation models
- Big Data: algorithmic knowledge for processing large volumes of unstructured data
In your practical interventions, and your contributions to the internal growth of the firm, you will:
- Expand and enhance our offers through training, working groups, dissemination of internal and external media
- Contribute to the influence of the firm by actively contributing to the publication plan (articles, studies, etc.), and represent the firm at various professional clubs, exhibitions and events
- Participate in the development of the activity through the design and development of commercial proposals, and by identifying new opportunities for collaboration with our clients
- Manage end-to-end projects, for which you ensure regular reporting to the manager and the client in order to guarantee the successful fulfilment of our commitments
- Oversee customer relationships during your assignments and build a strong relationship with your client-side contacts, who will recognize you as an expert on the relevant subjects
- Supervise consultants, from beginners to experienced, and act as a referent and liaison for the manager in monitoring the worksites, validating the deliverables, evaluating the achievements, and above all ensure the development of their soft and hard skills
Qualifications
- You have a master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field (for example, computer science, econometrics, (bio-)statistics, operations research) and have at least 3 years of relevant experience in data science topics
- You have an excellent level of knowledge in statistics and quantitative analysis (theoretical and practical knowledge, intuition, ease in understanding and applying models)
- You have mastered programming in Python and have a solid foundation in scripting languages (R, matlab, JS, bash) or compiled languages (C++, Java) and/or have experience in UNIX/LINUX environments
- You wish to engage and take responsibility quickly for high value tasks within a dynamic organization
- You have the ability to work collaboratively, are open-minded, have an analytical mindset and want to join a stimulating professional environment where you share our values of excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation, sharing culture, kindness, and work-life balance
- Professional proficiency in Dutch and English is essential
