About Your Team

You will be part of the Data Organization at Nuna, a dynamic interdisciplinary group comprised of experts in data science, data analytics, actuarial science, and research. This team enhances Nuna's products with their healthcare expertise, thorough evaluations, monitoring, analytics, and cutting-edge algorithm development.

The Data Science team plays a crucial role in assessing the impact and developing essential algorithmic features across Nuna’s product suite. You will bring analytical precision to product definition, monitoring, and evaluation, and lead the design and development of predictive algorithms.

Your Opportunities

This role focuses on supporting our Meaningful Matches product, which improves cost-effectiveness, quality, and patient satisfaction by matching them with the ideal primary care physician (PCP). As a key member of our team, you will:

• Develop, train, and enhance machine learning (ML) models.
• Analyze model performance to boost the business impact of our core algorithms.
• Advise clients on product configuration to meet their unique business goals.
• Ensure client expectations and technical requirements are met for successful product deployment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Solid experience in designing, training, implementing, and evaluating machine learning algorithms.
• Ability to transform complex customer and business needs into structured requirements and evaluation strategies.
• Proficiency in Python and a keen interest in advancing healthcare.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A Master’s degree in a quantitative field with 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.

Preferred:

• Background in handling healthcare data.
• Experience in scaling models over large data sets and expertise in causal inference.
• Client-facing skills and proficiency in Scala are highly advantageous.
• PhD in a quantitative field preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $216,000 to $249,000, based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, equity program participation, and generous paid time off.
