Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualifications:

• STEM Qualification
• Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematical Statistics, Actuary Science
• Masters or Doctorate (added advantage)

Preferred Certifications:

• Cloud (Azure, AWS), DEVOPS, Data Engineering Certification
• Data Science certifications from Coursera, Udemy, SAS, Microsoft

Experience Level

• MS/PhD in STEM or related technical discipline
• 7+ years in statistical/data science roles
• In-depth knowledge in machine learning, statistics, optimization
• Proficiency in R, Python, Matlab; familiarity with C, C++, Java
• Experience with large datasets, simulation/optimization, distributed computing (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, Arena)
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude in cross-functional teams
