Job Description:

As a Senior Data Scientist - Marketing Mix Modeling at Blend360, you will:

  • Collaborate with practice leaders and clients to understand business problems, industry context, data sources, potential risks, and constraints.
  • Translate business problems into workable Data Science solutions by proposing and evaluating different approaches and their pros and cons.
  • Develop project plans, including milestones, dates, owners, risks, and contingency plans.
  • Perform QA on MMM input and output data sets. Convert datasets from human-generated XLS to MMM input formats and translate MMM outputs to human-readable formats such as XLS and PPT.
  • Answer MMM-related questions from marketing, category, channel, and merchandising teams with assistance from Neustar MMM data scientists.
  • Handle data from various sources using SQL, Spark, and Cloud big data technologies.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets from client and external sources to meet business requirements.
  • Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights on customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business metrics.
  • Perform data cleaning and quality control, and integrate data on advanced Data Science platforms.
  • Conduct statistical data analysis, including exploratory data analysis and data mining, and document key insights and findings for decision-making.
  • Train, validate, and cross-validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms using state-of-the-art techniques and tools.
  • Document predictive model and machine learning results for client deliverables.
  • Assist clients in deploying models and algorithms within their architecture.

Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Statistics, Math, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Advanced Data Science, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, text mining, geospatial analytics, time series forecasting, and optimization. (New grads should apply to our All Star Positions.)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Sufficient knowledge of MMM input and output formats and how MMM works.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to deploy machine learning models from research environments (e.g., Jupyter Notebooks) to production via procedural or pipeline approaches.
  • Experience with Spark and data-frames in PySpark or Scala.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to pivot complex data to answer business questions.
  • Ability to visualize data for influencing decisions.
  • Comfortable with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Optimizely is a plus.
