Role Summary: Senior Data Scientist - Payer Analytics
Join our Analytics and Behavior Change team, a critical partner to our retail pharmacy payer analytics team. Your role is essential for achieving business goals related to reimbursement, pricing, and margin-driving initiatives. Utilize advanced analytics and statistical techniques to identify opportunities, collaborate with stakeholders, and measure impact.
As a Senior Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Seeing projects through from inception to production.
- Converting data science concepts into scalable production solutions and applications.
- Working across various domains like time-series forecasting, classification, regression, and clustering.
- Coordinating regularly with technical (Analytics, Data Engineering, IT) and non-technical business stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Mentoring junior team members with technical guidance.
- Maintaining accountability, urgency, strong critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business partners to identify new use cases, perform root-cause analyses, support decision-making, and gain data insights.
- Develop and present insights-driven materials on analytical results with recommendations for various audiences, including internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Palantir Foundry or Tableau.
- 3+ years of experience programming in SQL and Python.
- Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau.
- 2-3 years of experience building machine learning and/or optimization models.
- Experience with Spark/PySpark and cloud distributed-computing platforms like AWS, Azure Databricks.
- Knowledge of Git for version control.
- Experience with a robust experimentation framework (e.g., A/B testing).
- Strong foundational knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles in data science.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the health care industry, products, and systems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical business partners.
- High energy with a sense of urgency to deliver results, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capable of anticipating and preventing project roadblocks.
- Familiarity with working in an Agile framework.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is $92,700.00 - $185,400.00. Actual base salary will depend on various factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs.
