About the Role: Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist at Simple Machines, you will lead significant projects that merge science and strategy to drive commercial value through data science and machine learning. We value candidates with a solid foundation in data science and AI, coupled with a proven track record in applying these skills in real-world business applications.

In this role, you will balance technical expertise with practical business needs, fostering strong client relationships while building your consulting acumen.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Model Development: Create predictive models using advanced statistics, ensuring accuracy through rigorous validation and testing.
• Causal Analysis and Uplift Modelling: Determine the causality of interventions and enhance business outcomes.
• Feature Engineering: Utilize SQL, Scala, Python, or R for data extraction and advanced engineering, aiming for efficiency with modern tools like VertexAI and Tecton.
• Deployment and Integration: Launch models in cloud and containerized setups with seamless integration into systems like PowerBI and monitoring with Grafana.
• Generative AI and Large Language Models: Oversee the integration and ongoing performance of ground-breaking technologies like GPT-4 and Gemini.
• Pipeline Automation: Leverage tools such as Apache AirFlow and AWS Glue for efficient model performance monitoring and data management.

Consulting Responsibilities:
