We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to be part of our Retention product group at M-KOPA. We value progress, humility, and technical excellence and are on the lookout for someone with a profound expertise in machine learning infrastructure, advanced ML modeling, and development of monitoring tools.

About the Role

As our ideal candidate, you will have a rich background in both software engineering and data science, empowering you to design scalable machine learning pipelines, enhance monitoring systems, and build robust machine learning models. Expertise in developing credit scoring/decisioning models would significantly strengthen your application.

Technical Expertise

• Python: Deep understanding of Python and popular machine learning frameworks for time series data such as scikit-learn, LightGBM, and XGBoost.
• CI/CD: Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment frameworks.
• Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Containerization: Proficient with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and orchestrators such as Airflow.
• MLOps: Well-versed in MLOps best practices.
• Strong problem framing and solving skills.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote role, within the time zones UTC -1 to UTC +3. You will join a diverse team of engineers working remotely from locations like the UK, Europe, and Africa and will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
