Role Description

Capital One is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to enhance our dynamic team, leading the charge in exploiting cutting-edge machine learning and computing technologies. By handling vast datasets, you’ll extract valuable insights that drive decisions affecting millions of customers.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with esteemed professionals from cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product managers to create products that resonate with users.
• Utilize a comprehensive technology stack such as Python, AWS, Spark, and more to navigate through extensive numeric and textual data.
• Design, train, and implement sophisticated machine learning models, taking them from conception to deployment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in data analytics, or Master’s/PhD in process or completed, with expertise in data analysis and machine learning.
• Proficiency in open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning and relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a STEM field.
• Strong experience in Python, Scala, or R.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
