Role: Senior Data Scientist, Market Data Team

As a Senior Data Scientist at Pave, you will play a crucial role in our Market Data Team. This team is instrumental in prototyping and developing new data products while enhancing existing ones. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and market leaders to tap into user needs, partner with our Design team for early prototypes and explorations, and work alongside our Software Engineering team to transform these insights into high-quality, compelling products that resonate with users.

The ideal candidate is someone who is not only fascinated by data and its potential to solve problems but also passionate about designing and implementing innovative data solutions that are both technically robust and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and advanced statistical analyses.
  • Build data infrastructure to support scalability and innovation.
  • Craft and evaluate performance metrics to refine product offerings continually.
  • Communicate complex data insights to a diverse audience across the company.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Data Science, preferably in a tech-focused environment.
  • Expertise in SQL and statistical modeling tools (Python or R).
  • Proven ability to translate business issues into data-driven solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with a knack for explaining complex concepts in simple terms.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with machine learning model evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using transformation tools like dbt.
  • A track record of developing customer-facing data products.
